In this week’sStrange Academy # 2by Skottie Young , Humberto Ramos , Edgar Delgado , and Clayton Cowles , the young scholar are introduce to their different teachers . Ilyana Rasputina aka the New Mutant Magik is teaching Inferno 101 . When stick in herself to the young charming user , Magik tries to break the ice with a bad dad joke : " Hello , I ’m Ilyana Rasputina . Not only am I a member of the ten - Men known as Magik , but I ’m also an implausibly herculean sorceress .. also know as Magik . " That ’s when she decides to lighten the humor , read " I lie with you ’ve had a long day and you ’re all commonplace , but you ’re hold out to have a the pits of a fourth dimension in this class . "
The pupil ( besides Doyle Dormammu ) do n’t seem too impressed with the joke . That ’s when Ilyana ’s helper severalize her " I told you not to open with a pop joke , " to which she responds " Fine ! I should not have hear to advice from Wolverine . He call peoplebuband you’re able to not trust someone who calls people bub . " To be fair , the dad joke is pretty funny , but in front of a bunch of teen students , it ’s perceivable why it got more groan than jape .
While admit fighting advice from Wolverine is never a bad idea , it seems when it comes to the gag department , to avoid his wisdom at all monetary value . Thankfully , Magik was able to get the attention of her class back by sending a later student through a Hellish portal . Wolverine’sjoke did n’t set down , but Magik was able to get her class to focus after using a fervent spell - at least she get laid next time to open up the category with some theatrics , and not a dad joke .
