This made it all the more shocking that Ellie was trying to pack up and leave in the middle of the night . Ellie seemed to give zero thoughtfulness not only for how Dina would feel , but how good she and JJ would be . Their farmhouse was n’t exactly fortified and did n’t appear to be within walking aloofness of the Jackson settlement or any other neighbour . This made Dina fabulously vulnerable , to be a woman living on her own with a baby to care for , peculiarly with all of the infected and other foes running around . Given that it took Ellie two month to reach California from the timeTommygave her the tinge , she could ’ve been away for upwards of half a year before she made it back to the farmhouse . This is an inordinate amount of time to have wait Dina to just await and inquire if she was alive or not .
As such , the biggest reason that Dina merit better is because Ellie was never able to take her feeling or prophylactic into consideration . She was n’t prioritizing getting pregnant Dina back to the settlement when they were in Seattle , despite Jesse ’s prod . She also did n’t care when she left Dina at risk by leaving her and JJ alone at the farm . For all of these reasons , Dina sure deserved better than how Ellie treated her inThe Last of Us : Part 2 .
