Excitement surrounding this new opposer led to promote sales for the series and plenty of speculation from buff , but now it seems that the Black Winter was no more than a red herring , as the villain has apparently perished in only the 6th issue .

Thor#1 , released back in January , was a somewhat wild start to the serial . Thor has all but retired from hero - employment and taken his place as the novel King of Asgard , but his peaceable sovereignty is interrupted when a wounded Galactus lands on Asgard essay help . The God of Thunder let loose all the power he took from Galactus and then some , and all that ’s exit of the Black Winter is a single snowflake - but that snowflake provide a foreboding glimpse of what ’s to come .
