Though he accidentally helps come through the conflict when Three Face trips over Gil ’s traveling bag , Salesman ’s departure leaves much to be desire .

But since this isThe Simpsons ' most downtrodden character here , poor Gil does n’t exactly come back to life . The story ’s final control board sees a now - rot Gil surrounded by flies and say his farewells to Bartman , monish Bart not to didder his hand too hard or he ’ll pluck it off . With the character now undead , it could be interesting to see some sort of Gil Gunderson / Marvel Zombiescrossover , but the guy rope probablydeservesa snap off at this dot .
