To be clear – “ Death ” in the DC Universe is not just some abstract force but an literal being , present as a pallid - skinned untried cleaning lady with long black hair . One of the “ Endless , ” a group of beings who all make up a different aspect of the existence ( like Delirium , Destiny , Dream etc . ) , Death is in reality one of the nice members of this group and is in reality treated like a friend by most of the humans she encounters .

One might finger that Death would view people like Superman , Green Lantern , andthe Flashare “ cheat ” for head for the hills her grasp clip after time . Others might speculate that Death is just really bad at her job for not pull in these characters ’ demises a more lasting condition .
As it ferment out , however , Deathhasactually shared her own intellection on the matter – and to none other than Superman ’s arch nemesis Lex Luthor ! It ’s a comical , yet completely legitimate take on Death ’s purview on resurrection as she honestly does n’t see it as a big pile . Knowing that everyone and everything musteventuallycome to a final end , she does n’t putthose who returnin any particular family ( although she does treat everyone with an unwavering decency).DC Comicsmight deal death as a temporary condition , but dying herself have a go at it better …
