Crafting a spell from within the Soulworld , he enchant himself , Gamora , and their friend Pip the Troll to Earth . Since their forcible bodies had long since perished , however , Adam put their souls in the consistence of three human who had been kill in a elevator car accident . Over the next several hours , their new bodies mutated into form resembling their original self .

The Infinity Gauntlet give Thanos omniscience , meaning he could have been aware of her resurrection ( although Adam Warlock did seem to have shipway of hiding from even an omnipotent Thanos ) . Thanos also admitted to designedly killing his founding father Mentor in the “ Snap , ” although he did n’t seem to hold any tangible animosity toward Gamora ( late comics would even show the two reconciling somewhat , although she ’d inevitably find herself at odds with him again ) .
The MCU has use up several liberties with the comics , but in the display case of Thanos and Gamora , many would agree that their film story is much more tragic than the original comic book version . The comic book Thanos largely saw Gamora as a tool to be used , while his MCU vis-a-vis really mourned her passing and appear haunt by it , even after achieving his goal . One suspects even he would have hesitated at the idea of killing her again had he knownshe would revert inEndgame .
