In Michael Moreci and Pius Bak ’s shortStranger Thingstale , " Creature feature film , " the Byers and Eleven are shown go to a monster picture show dual feature at a Colorado drive - in . While Will and Jonathan finalize in for the 2nd movie though , Eleven is shown walk around the gift area to explore . Things take a turn though when she come across an animatronic creature used to promote the doubled feature . Bad memories begin to set off in Eleven ’s head when she encounters the fake fauna . She think fighting off the Flayed at Starcourt Mall and the bit she lost her powers during the battle . What ’s worse though is that a radical of bullies use some monster costumes to give her a affright attack . She ends up seeing some ofStranger Things’most powerful monsters like the Demogorgons and the Mindflayer . Eleven has been know to have a very disconcerting past with flashbacks to what is bother her in the present tense . In this amusing though , it ’s clear that her hurt is the worst it ’s ever been .
Eleven even bring up why she ’s get down to see trace of the past . She ’s still interested about the guard of the protagonist she left back at Hawkins , telling the Byers boys that " Now , with no tycoon , I … I’m always afraid . " She feels that she can no longer protect the people she cares about . Without them , if the Upside Down amount back , she know that she wo n’t be able to stop them , and it ’s hindering her from strike on . However , there is a bright mo near the end . When consoling her , Jonathan pillow his hired man on her shoulder and tells her " Someone much impudent than me once said that if we allow the bad things bankrupt the thing we love , then the bad matter succeed . " This is something that his blood brother , Will , secernate him ; and it comes from an empathetic viewpoint . This is a family that has been through so much over the course of the series with Will being taken into theUpside Down and being ensure by the Mind Flayer ’s power , but he ’s not allow the retiring wrecking what trivial joyousness he can have in life . They ’re still there and will take time to work through , but they can be beat by seek to focus on the simple-minded things in living .
It ’s clear-cut from this inadequate tarradiddle that Eleven ’s trauma will make a restitution in the coming 4th season . With a new villain on the horizon , the Hawkins minor are die to have a draw to deal with , and Eleven ’s not going to be capable to do too much given that her ability have disappeared . Still , Will and Jonathan ’s advice is something that will in all likelihood serve her work through her own inner demons . Elevenhas a long road ahead of her , but with her friends by her side , the next season ofStranger Thingscould see her working through her trauma to help make things correct .
