This space battle was occur above a planet where the Rebels had a base of operation , so Zahra flies her ship down toward the planet to make it seem as though she is going to neglect the fleet and instead pass over out the Rebel root word . When her ship is pursued , Zahra fires her Ion Cannons at the incoming ships , rendering them useless as they are catch in the satellite ’s gravity . As the Rebel shipshurtle towards the Rebel base , Zahra creates a post where the Rebel leaders will have to take to shoot down their own ships in a shell blow to morale .
This situation is a sexual perversion of the forfeit Holdo would make decades later duringThe Last Jedi . Rather than using her own ship to bang up through a much more powerful enemy for the sake of the prolongation of her cause , Zahra utilise the Rebels ’ ships against theminstead .
