Back in October 2014 , there were reportsSony was plan to establish the Robin Hood cinematic universe . They mean to make individual flick for Robin Hood and his supporting characters , the Merry Men ; there would be films star Little John , Friar Tuck and Will Scarlett . The Merry Men were envisioned as the superheroes of the Middle Ages , and the tone of the shared universe would be similar to theMission : ImpossibleandFast & Furiousmovies . All the solo film would come to a climax in a team - up film , presumably entitled something along the line of reasoning ofRobin Hood and the Merry Men . It ’s a surreal theme , not least because Sony believe $ 1 to $ 2 million for the pitch by Cory Goodman and Jeremy Lott .
