Using a computer memory vitreous silica , Joker hypnotized Dick into thinking that he was a part of Joker ’s mob , and not the former ward and Robin of the Batman . With false implant memories in his head , Dick Grayson becomes the Son of Joker , and it looks as though he just got a pretty egregious inheritance inRed Hood and the Outlaws # 48 .
The young Son of Joker has already done his " forefather ’s " summons for a little while now , most notably inhelping Joker ’s new girlfriend Punchlinebeat and capture Batgirl , using her as bait to make the other former Robins such as Tim Drake and Jason Todd into a sand trap . However , Punchline and Grayson did have a missionary station just prior to this , involving Jason Hood and the foster home he grow up in : Ma Gunn ’s School for Boys . There , Punchline is beating Duela Dent , the Joker ’s Daughter ( whose not really his daughter , just a psychotic person teen ) with a crowbar . While Duela is no doubt crazy , wearing the Joker ’s honest-to-god face that he cut off back at the beginning of New 52 , Red Hood still feels compelled to save her from a expiry he knows all too well . However , a masked Grayson arrives to take down the Red Hood .

Grayson make headway the fight and knocks Jason out , prevent him from save Dent before Grayson and Punchline flee the scene and blow the surrogate house to pieces . Among the wreckage , Jason finds Duela ’s body , and regret his unfitness to save her … or so he thinks . It ’s later revealed that the agents of Joker still have Duela with them , still alive , as they raiment up the body of a bushed homeless woman to make Jason think Duela had perish . At the oddment of the event , Punchline has take Joker ’s onetime face - off of Duela , most likely to give to Grayson , a super arrant inheritance if there ever was one .
While Jason is currently on his means to falling into the antecedently mentioned trap , it will interesting to see if he ’ll ever get a line the true statement about Duela and save her from whatever other torture Joker has design for her before ultimately bolt down her . It seems probable that he will . Meanwhile , Grayson has take yet another unwilling step towards espouse his new part as the Son of Joker , even potentially strike on the face of the evil he now study to be his father . Hopefully , one of the other members of the Bat - Family or even Batman himselfwill be able to saveNightwingfrom the Joker ’s grasp , and lend him back to the light . Fans will know more as theJoker Warcontinues this summer .
