For well or worse , Sasuke and Sakura are amongNaruto’smost important span , butBorutoproves they ’re much better apart . ThoughSakura and Sasuke might be getting their ownNarutospinoff Koran , it ’s manifest from the sequel series that their relationship has some serious problems .

Ever since her launching , Sakura has been obsessed with Sasuke . This led to much of Sakura ’s fictitious character ontogenesis in the first part ofNarutobeing focalize on her   learning to be independent from others and , more specifically , Sasuke . Unfortunately for her , not only would her feelings for Sasuke never really blow over , his disinterest in her would eventually evolve into sulphurous resentment . Sasuke once infamously tried to kill Sakura when she had her back turned to him , though he would later excuse for this . By the end ofNaruto , Sasuke had finally seen the light and on the face of it made amends . It all set the stagecoach for him to not only be a secure person but more specifically a undecomposed married person for Sakura . unluckily , that ’s not how things turn out by the time ofBoruto .

Taking place twelve age afterNaruto , Borutofollows the next generation of ninja . Sakura and Sasuke are married in this future and have a daughter together named Sarada . regrettably for Sarada though , she barely live Sasuke at all , as he has been out on missions throughout much of her life . Despite her marriage , Sakura has basically been forced to raise Sarada as a single parent . Worse yet , Sakura feels compel to cover for Sasuke ’s past , often refusing to answer Sarada ’s questions that might clue her into the fact that Sasuke fundamentally intrust war offence .

While Sasuke is undoubtedly a better mortal by the time ofBoruto , it ’s clear that his relationship with Sakura just does n’t work . Sasuke ’s reason for always being away on missions is that he wants to abye for the many offense he intrust back inNaruto . That might be admirable , but what ’s less so is essentially abandoning his married woman and daughter to make indemnification . All of it serves to makeSakura a much more tragic character than she needed to be . Her whole bow inNarutowas focused on her crunch on Sasuke . Naruto’sflash - forward might have made it seem like she finally got the glad ending she always wanted . It ’s sorry to see her still pining for Sasuke more than a decade later on when they both have a child together . Upon go steady how much his apparent indifference has hurt his girl , he does make an effort to be more involved in his class ’s life sentence . It would be a poignant gesture if it did n’t come   a ten too belatedly .

Still , thoughBorutohas its flaws , this family relationship is n’t inherently one of them . It would have been easy to give the two the felicitous ending that many fans need for them . alternatively , Borutomakes their family relationship much more complex than that . Borutomight have made   Sakura and   Sasuke’sNarutorelationship more tragic , but it also made it much more interesting .
