Screen Rant : Why do n’t we start out with the experience ofMontana Story . What really stood out from that for you ?
Haley Lu Richardson : Wow ! Well , off to a good start ! Sorry , sometimes I just have brain farts and I do n’t hump , but candidly there were a wad of things that stood out with this projection for me . I think just the joining I had and still have to Erin , the character I played , and just the grade of apprehension I have for who she is and why she is that way and the empathy I have for her , I just love her and care about her and felt connected to her immediately reading the script .
And then also , the association I develop with Owen , who ’s Cal , who ’s my comrade , I really feel like he ’s the close-fitting thing I ’ve ever had to a brother in my aliveness , and I just feel so safe with him in person and professionally , which can make a immense difference on a Book of Job . I ’m just so grateful for that experience act with him and getting to roll in the hay him .
Aside from that , what was the crowing memory for you from the making ofMontana Story ?
Haley Lu Richardson : The affair that was plausibly the most special for me was my relationship with Owen , and how that transferred to the existent work and the shot that we did , because I really mat up like I trusted him and that safe space . I knew he always had my back and I always had his back , and yeah , that ’s just a really beautiful play to be in to toy make-believe . I think that was the most special thing of it all for me .
This movie also has a bit of a contemporaryWesterntype of tint . How did that really abide out from other undertaking you ’ve done in the past as far as the mount and the story ?
Haley Lu Richardson : Yeah , it ’s definitely very specific . The emotional chronicle and the experiences that Cal and Erin have had in their life , in their house are very specific , and the shoes we go back to , this ranch , this home ranch and how we grew up , and just the landscape and the world is so specific . I love that specificity on a labor , because it gives you more to link with , and just actually being in Montana and being in that reality and get nowhere to break away off to hide or no flight from that , I loved it , because it made it all more tangible and real , yeah .
With the mise en scene of it , what was the most challenging vista ofMontana Storyfor you ?

It was the type of playscript that it was so full and so on the page , that I just kind of want it to be that , you get it on what I mean ?
I felt like I knew who Erin was and I connected to her just from how she was on the page , and I just kind of built up this auspices of her and of that that was created . So , just kind like conniption - by - scene making sure that that was honored and attain indisputable that I was just doing the expert that I could do with her , I guess , if that do any sense .
Yes , absolutely .
Haley Lu Richardson : It does ? [ Laughs ] Sometimes , I ’m not too sure what comes out of my mouth !
