With news that the approaching superhero adventure will follow the alternate timeline story , the Flashpoint Batman character will likely make an appearing , at least in some capacity . Since in this timeline , it is Thomas Wayne that becomes the Dark Knight rather than his son , it would be highly potential for Jeffrey Dean Morgan to reprise his use fromBatman v Superman : Dawn of Justice . While as of now , there has been no conventional discussion between Morgan and the producers , recent hearsay say that Flashpoint Batman will be in the movie .
As for the possibility of McConaughey take up the mantle of Flash ’s great villain , that is a little less likely . This casting choice was made alone by the digital artist himself , and as of right now , there has been no public discussion as to who will be portraying Reverse - Flash .
