TheSniperfranchise start back in 1993 and starred Tom Berenger as a seasoned Marine sniper diagnose Thomas Beckett and Billy Zane as his rookie partner Miller . The plastic film was a taut , stylish legal action thriller that launched a surprisingly robust dealership . Sniper : Assassin ’s Endmarks the 5th clock time you ’ve play Brandon . How do you experience the character has germinate since his first visual aspect ?

A Composite Image of ScreenRant’s Exclusive 2025 Summer Movie Preview images from Superman, Jurassic World Rebirth, How to Train Your Dragon, Fountain of Youth, Hurry Up Tomorrow, Nobody 2, and From the World of John Wick: Ballerina

Yes , I step into Brandon ’s boots for the 5th time with Sniper : Assassin ’s ending - it has and extend to be such a fun ride ! And he has certainly evolve . He part off as an infantry Marine with a distaste for the farsighted gun , and now he ’s a creation - class shooter just like his old man , Thomas Beckett . And he ’s faced with those same dilemmas that his beginner went through - the endless judgment calls , the PTSD , and more . Brandon unquestionably has some more grunge under his fingernail after all of his heroic adventures around the human race , and I think it has resulted in him being a short more world - weary , but we played with this notion of him having more of a gallows humor and charm about it all from living life on the sharpness for so long .

The new movie hold the most focus to the complicated Padre / Word dynamic between Brandon and Thomas Beckett and lets them bond a picayune . What was it similar to work with Tom Berenger this time around ?

It ’s always a pleasure to work with Tom Berenger , who I ’ve always been a fan of before I issue forth aboard the Sniper franchise . I sleep together the parts of this picture show that let Brandon and Thomas try and link up , don and son . Attempting to progress a bridge as quondam , more experient men and soldiers , to form a bond paper and a connexion for the first clip . I imagine this movie does a great job of showing those moments - sometimes inept , sometimes warm . Tom is always great to be around and work on with , and I can ride and listen to his acting life history stories for hours on terminal .

This is Kaare Andrews ’ first fourth dimension behind the lens on aSnipermovie . What was the collaboration like with Kaare on set , and how does his style differ from the old films ?

Kaare was howling to work with ; he was so delirious to make this movie , and his ebullience never waned . One of the early conversation we had by phone was about him being new to the dealership and recognizing that I ’ve take Brandon on a journey over the row of several plastic film , and he trusted what I was going to bring to the table from that linear perspective . It was very open and collaborative , our shoot experience , which I really appreciated . We ’d hash out shot together , explore talks and more , and he was always very undecided to what I had to extend , which was groovy . He ’s an incredibly gifted and successful artist coming from the comical leger world , so his panache of filming really set Assassin ’s End aside . Some very stylize scenes that feel very much like a John Wick film with flair of a kung fu or soldierlike arts film . It felt like a total reinvigoration of the franchise in a deal of ways .

Lady Death is probably the most formidable foe Brandon has faced to particular date . What did Sayaka Akimoto bestow to the part ?

chad-michael-collins-sniper-assassins-end

I ca n’t say enough good things about Sayaka Akimoto , the Japanese actress and soda pop star who star as our female lead . She was such a gamer ! We spend hours and hours together rehearsing and choreographing very involved fight sequences , and she just give herself into it in a way that impressed me . We both had very fantabulous and adequate to stunt doubles , but she was like me from day one - she wanted to learn it all , do it all , to the very good of her power . She feel it was important and was tireless in her chase of it . She was a most excellent false - fight dancing pardner , and I guess she ’ll bring a whole young set of international eyes on our dealership with her singular character . She ’s very watchable , and hand - down had the best costuming in the entire flick !

There also look to be more paw - to - paw fight this clock time around . How was it to snap the action for this entree ?

Yes , there was . A lot ! Which was my favourite part about Assassin ’s remainder . We will always have the hit man gambol and gunfight , but I bonk when the script calls for more up - close - and - personal natural process . We had an awesome stunt / fighting choreographer working with us , Brett Chan . He was so great , so hand - on with all of us , and brought such a unparalleled dash and flourish to every prospect he choreographed . Filming the action at law is always a challenge , and you ’re going to get banged up pretty skilful , but I love it all and do as many of my own stunt and defend sequences as they ’ll countenance me to . perhaps one solar day I ’ll prefer to sit those scenes out and let my stuntman do all the heavy lifting , but I do n’t see that day coming anytime shortly !

Do you have a personal favoriteSnipermovie out of the single you ’ve work on ?

It ’s so hard to prefer between all your baby ! I truly do love them all equally . But my favorite has always been the most recent Sniper film we put out there . Each one builds upon another , feels more fun , more complete than the last . It ’s soft to have dealership fatigue and just zigzag out more action movie that wait and feel the same . But I feel like with our franchise , we do try and raise the bar each clip . With Assassin ’s End , I opine we ’ve raise it even higher in terms of tale , action , and execution . And I think consultation will take account that on all levels .

The net scene ofAssassin ’s Endcertainly hints at a subsequence . Is there another Sniper currently in the works ?

Despite playing Brandon Beckett across five Sniper films , I ’m most definitely a soldier who ’s on a permanent " need to lie with " basis and grade of clearance . I do n’t know what ’s next for the franchise , or who will co - star in it with me , but I do know that whenever I get the call check off on particular date to come back and do another one , I get empty-headed all over again . Sony has always done such a dandy job of obtain fantastic theater director and actors , writers and more , and they nailed it with Assassin ’s End once again . Between Sayaka as Lady Death , Ryan Robbins as Agent Zero , Kaare Andrews behind the lens … the possibility certainly live for character reference to return for more subsequence . Brandon is always standing by , waiting for that skilful word from the Sony organization .

You recently played Alex in 2019’sCall Of Duty : Modern Warfare . How have the fans responded to your part , and is there any talk of Alex returning for a future game ?

On that distinction , was there ever a give-and-take about the first - person shooter Brandon is seen playing in Assassin ’s conclusion actually beingModern war ?

I do call up get conversations with our wonderful Sony manufacturer about explore that option . I honestly bonk that they leaned into that - it ’s such a fun little wry line to my work in Call of obligation , and I ’m finding that there ’s a ton of crossover between first - person shooter gamers and fan of action movies . I have a go at it that Sony was utter to Activision about it all , but I ’m not sure what if anything come of it . I intimate that they try and licence an older Modern Warfare biz , like the archetype . That would ’ve gotten the fans peach and the YouTube videos flying around the internet ! Those awesome gamers jazz to speculate , and there are a million video recording out there tying Alex ’s origins to former case from the Modern Warfare universe . So fun to see their rage .

You also appeared in season 1 of Shudder’sCreepshow . What was it like being part of such an iconic horror enfranchisement ?

Yes , I did a booster cable in an episode cry ' Skincrawlers ' that was an rank blast . Total release from the action / soldier character reference I get laid playing so much . I maturate up on the original Creepshow movies , scan every Stephen King novel I could get my hand on , and have seen every sequence of The Walking Dead . So being in that show was such a pleasure , being a huge fan of both King and Greg Nicotero . And it was such a playfulness throwback episode - so much humour , summer camp and gore . You would not consider the amounts of fake pedigree and viscera that cake the floor on that exercise set when we filmed it . It was a delight .

And finally , can you tell us what your next task will be ?

Right now , I ’ve just been enjoying both the Sniper and Call of Duty ride . There are always irons in the fire on my final stage , but until your groundwork strike the ground on a set , you just keep marching frontward . Quarantine was a challenge for a lot of citizenry , but it allow me to get in touch with Call of Duty gamers and Sniper fans around the man in such wonderful ways . I started Twitch cyclosis and playing with the COD players . I connected with thousands of new rooter in Brazil , India and a dozen other countries who are watching Sniper : Ultimate Kill as it became the numeral - one most - watched motion picture on Netflix in so many of those international territories . Sniper fan started wreak Call of Duty ; Call of Duty gamers started going out and look out all of our Sniper movies . It ’s been such a blessing to be a part of two fantastic franchise , and I hope we get back to pretend more of both as soon as humanly potential .
