Despite   Pixar ’s phenomenal cut record of animated classic , theCarsfranchise has not been as successful   as they might have hoped . The moving-picture show grade amongthe studio ’s worst - reviewedand there does n’t seem to be much devotee interest in the enfranchisement .   But all it might need is one more shot to turn the serial around .

While there are no solid plans for aCars 4 , there are some potentially interesting place the write up could go . However , they would need to avert some of the misunderstanding that the old films made , including some of the characters . While the raw floor would benefit from revert fan deary , others should be withdraw .

Should Return: Lightning McQueen

Lightning McQueen has always been the centre of theCarsseries . Though he may not be one ofPixar ’s most beloved admirer , he has had an entertaining electric arc and there are still plenty of fun places to take the character .

Cars 3found Lightning confront the end of his vocation , but the film end with him not quite quick to quit yet . While his wise man relationship with Cruz Ramirez would be worth explore , it would also be great to see what the moment is that finally convinces him to take the air away from step on it .

Stay Away: Finn McMissile

WhileCarswas a smasher and receive seemly revaluation , Cars 2remains at the bottom of the Pixar universe . The sequel made some really poor choices in which direction to take the franchise , includingturning it into a spy storyfor some reason .

One of the Modern characters they introduced was Finn McMissile , a British undercover agent cable car who is trying to stop an international confederacy . Even when voiced by Michael Caine , the character seemed like such an unneeded improver and it would be wise for the franchise to debar going down that path again .

Should Return: Francesco Bernoulli

ThoughCars 2might have been a large trip-up for the dealership , it did wangle to introduce one memorable newfangled character . Francesco Bernoulli is an Italian Formula   1 car who becomes the master rival for Lightning McQueen during the World Grand Prix race .

Voiced byJohn Turturro , Francesco is a uproariously self-important automobile driver who can not assist but contumely Lightning every chance he catch . Even though the lineament shows some redeem qualities in the end , it would be great to see him return as a continued pest to Lightning .

Stay Away: Chick Hicks

EachCarsfilm brings in a new competitor for Lightning to look off against . In the original moving-picture show , that theatrical role was Chick Hicks , a loud and obnoxious racer who has no problem causing hurt in orderliness to bring home the bacon .

Chick is actually a moderately fun persona in the first photographic film andMichael Keaton gives a corking performancein the role . However , when the character is bring back inCars 3as a sport reviewer no longer voiced by Keaton , he just come off as annoying .

Should Return: Cruz Ramirez

AfterCars 2 , the third film managed to rebound the dealership pretty by returning its nidus to racing and assay to get the story full dress circle . They attain this by bring in Cruz Ramirez , a young aspire racer Lightning McQueen mentors just as Doc Hudson did for him .

Cruz is a loveable , funny , and inhale character . It would be great to follow her in her burgeoning career and see how she is establish herself in the sport .

Stay Away: Fillmore

The aggregation of character in Radiator Springs is a scrap of a motley dish . While some of them are shady and memorable , others felt like uninteresting stereotype . Fillmore is an former van who serves as nothing more than an unimaginative riff on a hippie character .

Though the quality fails to offer anything newfangled from the beginning , once voice actor George Carlin break and was replaced by someone doing a poor George Carlin effect , he became even slow .

Should Return: Louise Nash

One of the most interesting aspect ofCars 3was the brief geographic expedition of the racing days of the past . A few of Doc Hudson ’s old associates are introduces as part of the story , include an honest-to-goodness female race driver named Louise Nash .

Though only featured for a brusk time , Louise is directly more compelling than the rest of the main characters . She spill about how she broke down barriers to become a female racing car when the sport would n’t allow her . That is the kind of fascinating fiber the series should be follow .

Stay Away: Jackson Storm

Jackson Storm is the competitor of Lightning McQueen inCars 3and is , unfortunately , the dullest of the lot . He is innovate as the young superstar who is poised to become the new champion of the sport . But other than being a cocky jolt , there ’s nothing exciting about him .

Pixar is usually so good at take up a typical sort of character and doing something unexpected with them . For some rationality , they do n’t practice that coming to theCarsfilms and just make predictable and obvious characters . Jackson Storm is a premier example .

Should Return: Doc Hudson

The late , great Paul Newmanadded his considerable gravitas to the firstCarsmovie as Doc Hudson , a legendary racer who retired and finally becomes Lightning ’s wise man . Carsmarked Newman ’s last feature film before his death , and the character of Doc Hudson died as well in protection to the actor .

However , it might be interesting to see a prequel time period bit exploring Doc ’s rise from nothing to becoming one of the giant of the racing world .

Stay Away: Mater

When people think about theCarsmovies , Mater is probably one of the first characters that follow to mind . The simple-minded - minded tow truck stole the show in the first motion-picture show asLightning ’s new good booster . However , the case has overstay his welcome .

The sequel made the mistake of cashing in on Mater ’s   popularity of the character by putting him front and center inCars 2 , and he   quickly went from loveable to rag . Cars 3pushed him to the background , soCars 4can probably just do without him .
