Even thoughPokémon Legends : Arceuslaunched less than four months ago , Game Freak is gear up to release the first 9th coevals games after this year . Pokémon ScarletandVioletwill hopefully capitalize on howArceusfinally shake up the mainline expression , and with it could add new changes to existing species .

The roster count   is already at   900 + creatures , but newfangled coevals normally amount with some statistical alterations to onetime ones as well . There are several   Pokémon that have matte jolly neglected in this department , and they would undoubtedly gain from stat boosts in primal orbit .

Arbok

Thanks to the classic Pokémon anime seasons , Arbok has become something of a small-scale icon for the franchise from having been Jessie ’s signature creature . intention - wise , it ’s a Kanto Pokémon with a simple yet effective flavor and brainchild , but its current stat spread head does it no party favor . Arbok ’s stat total fall fairly well below 500 , with it being very subpar all around .

Its strongest base stat is an 85 in Physical Attack , which augur ill everywhere else . Arbok could arguably do well with a   young organic evolution operating system   regional form   inPokémon Scarlet and Violet , but , if nothing else , bolstering its Physical Attack , Speed , and/or defenses would be a good get-go .

Pidgeot

Pidgeot is abeloved classic of the regional Bronx cheer Pokémon , but it ’s certainly insure good days in terms of battle prowess . In its base shape , Pidgeot was never specially potent , with in - secret plan playthroughs arguably favor Fearow more . However , it received a noticeable stat buff thanks to its Mega Evolution inOmega RubyandAlpha Sapphire .

But since Game Freak has effectively scrapped that devotee - favorite mechanic , Pidgeot is back to give its 91 Speed stat being its most noteworthy boon . Even   a simple tweak that boosts its Special Attack and Speed like its Mega did – but understandably lower in this case – would be welcome .

Vikavolt

It ’s a shame that Vikavolt statistically landed where it did inSunandMoon , as its originative intent and Type compounding left a lot of electric potential on the board . buff intend upon go through it that it would be a quick Special Attacker , though , shockingly , its Speed reverse out to be an abysmal 43 .

It has a good Physical Defense , an excellent Special Attack , and a decent Special Defense , but that stop number is holding Vikavolt back tremendously . Given that , the solution for a possible boost inScarletandVioletbecomes quite obvious .

Flareon

Despite being an graceful andcreatively designed preferent of the " Eeveelution " Pokémon , Flareon is still hamper statistically in engagement . Flareon ’s particularly stat woes stanch from being a Fire - Type species , which specializes in Special Attacking motion , but   its strong nauseous stat is Physical . Its Special Attack is still at a solid 95 , but it ’s wasting potential by not having a stat spread that complements its eccentric .

Something simple that could bolster its armed combat viability , and should Game Freak not want to overmaster Flareon , would be to boost its Special Attack from 95 to somewhere from 105 - 110 .   This would make better utilization of its movepool and make it a solid mixed attacker alongside its hefty 135 Physical Attack .

Mawile

In a similar case to Pidgeot , Mawile is another Pokémon that started weakly and got a much - needed boost via Mega Evolution but is now more or less back where it started . Mawile has disappointing stats in almost every section , with the only two   nice 1 being an 85 in both Physical Attack and Physical Defense , leave everything else in the 50s cooking stove .

Even apart from the argufy Mega ,   this spread is a pity since it gained the Fairy typing in gen six . That secondary – and powerful – Type is going to waste , as experience it combined with Steel should make Mawile a stout defensive attitude Pokémon .

Dunsparce

Dunsparce is one of the most curious case in the Pokémon roll . The Land Snake Pokémon was inclose as is in the second coevals Johto game ,   and it never pick up any variety of boon later .

It ’s quite average overall , with Dunsparce ’s only notable base stat being its 100 HP . Its Attack and Defense are both okay , but it also sense likea Pokémon that ’s aching for evolution , peculiarly withScarletandVioleton the horizon . Since those two stats are the joint secondly - highest stats after its HP , pad them could at least make Dunsparce a sturdy Physical Pokémon .

Delcatty

While Delcatty did receive a upstanding stat buff after its Hoenn launching ( fastness going from 70 to 90 ) , every one of its other stats rest average . Its movepool is quite diverse when it comes to offensive and stat - supercharge move , but Delcatty is defend back by its forcible and Special stats .

This Pokémon is arguably one that could also be an impressive mixed attacker with its entree to moves like Calm Mind , Disarming Voice , encounter Rough , Facade , and more . alike , convey reward of those tool would go nicely with a lowly 90 Speed stat .

Beedrill

Bug - Type Pokémon , regrettably , get the short end of the spliff in condition of battle viability . By make an RPG teras - garner series with various sort of creatures to capture , it seems obvious to have Bug species . However , their very nature often make them fragile belligerent ( except for Scizor , Heracross , etc . ) . Beedrill is a classical microbe - Type from the Kanto games , and it , too , received a buff from Mega Evolution .

With that mechanic seemingly a keepsake of the past , boosting its Physical Attack stat inScarletandVioletseems like a square pinch . However , the ninth propagation should go a step forward   by buff its Physical Defense a bit as well .

Mightyena

Poochyena , and Mightyena by university extension , are a nostalgic melodic phrase of " early - path "   Pokémon from the Hoenn realm . Their design are slick dog / hyaena inspirations , but many players likely call back experience to cut them from the last squad as the plot ’s narration progressed .

Mightyena ’s 420   stat amount are n’t as tough as others here , but most of those case-by-case stats are far too average to keep up .   It has a solid Physical movepool ( for example Crunch , the " Elemental Fangs , " Dig , Iron Tail , etc . ) , so sacrificing its Special Attack and boosting its Physical Attack , Speed , and Special Defense would make it hit harder and endure bang better from rival Types that threaten it .

Glaceon

Closing out with another Eeveelution , Glaceon arguably circumvent Flareon in being the sapless in conflict . Similar to the said Bug - character problem , Ice - Types are n’t defensively stalwart due to their physical nature . It seems strange on paper , as its stat amount sits at an impressive 525 .

The job , rather , lies in where those stats ( and things like movepool ) are allocate . Glaceon ’s defenses and Special Attack are quite impressive , but those stats are let down by poor HP and Speed sum .   Its defenses and Special offence wo n’t last / get much clip to polish if everything is hitting Glaceon first .
